I'm going to make this very clear, at SEVA Recovery, we simply have the most talented team in specialized peer support you'll find anywhere. Operating within the non-profit model allows us to ensure that our therapists are not overwhelmed with an unmanageable caseload. This is critically important in maintaining the high quality of personalized support we insist on delivering. When the prime motivating factor is profit, this is rarely, if ever, the case.

Lived experience is a key requirement for our peer support therapists. Working through your challenges with someone who has faced similar struggles reduces much of the unconscious reputation management that occurs in more formal settings. These understandable feelings of embarrassment and fear of judgment are the reasons we often find it difficult to be completely forthright with our doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists about our troubling thoughts, habits, or behaviours. It's natural to worry about how those we respect might view us. This is far less likely to occur when you're working with someone who can look you in the eyes and say, "Hey. I get it. Me too."

Everyone on our team is insured and background checked with clearance to work with vulnerable individuals. We also have strict standards of care and non-disclosure agreements in place to protect client confidentiality.
